How to get there
Bhutan is famously high-altitude, so it’s wise to take the first few days slowly. When you’ve adjusted, go for magical hikes and get ready to discover the area’s spectacular monasteries.
Sustainable Development Fee (SDF)
The mandatory SDF is US$100 per person per night and is paid directly to the Bhutanese government during the visa application process. The government of Bhutan levies it on all tourists visiting Bhutan. The SDF is used to upgrade infrastructure and services, elevate tourists’ experiences, and maintain carbon-neutral tourism.
